設備維修方式最初是事后維修、進而發(fā)展到預防維修(PM)和計劃維修(MP), 現(xiàn)在隨著設備診斷技術的發(fā)展, 正在逐步走向設備狀態(tài)預知維修。這是現(xiàn)代化大型企業(yè)應大力提倡的一種維修方式。設備狀態(tài)維修是以設備狀態(tài)監(jiān)測為基礎, 以設備故障分析、診斷結果為依據(jù), 以設備預知狀態(tài)為手段而日益成熟的設備維修方式。
近幾十年來，人們把系統(tǒng)論、控制論、信息論、可靠性理論摩擦磨損理論和行為科學等與設備管理的實際相結合，產生了設備綜合工程學、日本的"全員管理"(TPM) 等設備管理的新理論、新模式，使設備管理從傳統(tǒng)管理進入了現(xiàn)代管理；把電學、聲學、熱學、故障物理理論以及應用化學等基礎科學應用到設備狀態(tài)信息的控制上來，產生了設備狀態(tài)監(jiān)測和故障診斷技術，從而把設備維修方式推進到了預知維修的階段；把系統(tǒng)論、控制論與現(xiàn)代優(yōu)化理論應用到設備的經(jīng)濟、技術的綜合管理上業(yè)形成了一系列設備的現(xiàn)代管理方法，使人們從單憑經(jīng)驗進行經(jīng)測和決策，進入了以定量為主和科學決策。可以預見，隨著計算機管理的深入開展，設備管理必將進入動態(tài)管理和優(yōu)化型綜合管理的新階段。可以認為，現(xiàn)代科技成時的廣泛應用，是提高管理效率和效益取之不盡的源泉。
一. 充分利用現(xiàn)代科技檢測手段, 逐步實現(xiàn)設備狀態(tài)預知維修管理的必要性
現(xiàn)代科技成果和現(xiàn)代化設備管理理論應用的廣泛性和深入程度，是衡量設備管理現(xiàn)代化的主要標志和特點。設備管理較為先進的國家，通常都有一批專家、學者專門從事于現(xiàn)代科技成果與設備管理相結合， 帶動設備管理水平及時跟上現(xiàn)代科技迅猛發(fā)展的步伐。
ATB礦設備管理除采用預防性維護保養(yǎng)外, 應進一步探索新的維修體制。 針對系統(tǒng)維修管理體制暴露出的蔽端，應用現(xiàn)代化設備管理和狀態(tài)維修的理論和方法，對維修管理體制進行全面研究，建立起符合ATB特點的維修管理體制。積極推行PM保養(yǎng)， 并通過各種各種現(xiàn)代化的檢測手段，預知設備變化情況和對質量產生不良后果的可能性，并在事前采取對策，確保設備完好和產生的順利進行。使ATB礦形成一個設備現(xiàn)場安全預控體系， 讓固定設備、移動設備現(xiàn)場運行的各個環(huán)節(jié)處于受控狀態(tài)。
