SASO(沙特阿拉伯標準組織)最近宣布即將實施標準SASO 2870/2015：照明產品的能效、功能和標簽要求。
這項標準涉及光通量大于60流明以及小于12 000流明的以下類別的定向和非定向普通照明源：白熾燈、帶集成式鎮流器的緊湊型熒光燈（CFLi）、鹵素燈、LED燈（白熾燈取代型），以及LED燈（鹵素燈取代型）。
上述標準的要求于2016年5月1日開始執行。
根據要求，生產商/出口商須在標準開始執行日期前獲得SASO的能效許可，以避免延誤產品的銷售。
